PPAS3300 Statistics for Social Sciences and Research Ethics

Task:

Serious violations of the University’s research ethics policy are fortunately rare.
Even minor violations are diligently reported and receive some form of sanction.
Please remember, we take this seriously because we ALL have a responsibility to ensure that: participants in research, the communities they come from and society in general, benefit from our research activities and are not unfairly nor unnecessarily put in harm’s way by those activities.
Human participant research is required for an assignment in the course
Professor submits the project or assignment to the Departmental Research Ethics Committee and when approved can review each individual project himself/herself (in SPPA is the School Research Committee)
Student chooses to use human participants or it is an undergraduate independent study or honours research
