Introduction
In this research, IS governance and risk-related focus will be further defined by
emphasizing reviewing an article that provides an empirical assessment of IT governance
implementation based on shared understanding. Reviewing aspecific theme and determining
the underlying context of IS governance as well as risk elements defined in the aspect has
been provided in the article.
Discussion
In the contemporary economy of digitized processes, organizational decision-makers
confront IT pervasiveness (Joshi et al. 2018 ). Particular investment in IT from the overall
investment amount is seen in several organisations. Due to this, management, as well as
governance of IT, are warranted, which ensures that investments are in line with the business
requirements. Through an online survey. Overall, this article defined adescriptive analysis of
the effect of functional role on IT governance status with the COBIT 5framework that helps
manage and govern IT in aholistic manner. As supported by Amali et al. (2020) ,COBIT 5
framework can help in terms of meeting stakeholder requirements. Moreover, the leading
paper further emphasizes on lack of shared understanding regarding the level of IT
governance implementation. In order to address this issue, development of shared experience
between different internal stakeholders, especially IT, audit, compliance, and risk related
stakeholders. On top of that, a transparent understanding of COBIT 5 can help in shared
responsibility.
Conclusion
Through defining the underlying concept of stakeholder need mitigation with COBIT
5, the primary article chosen here has provided a proper understanding of the discussing

notion of IT governance. Through converting a robust set of documentation on the actual
process of governance, the article offered the appropriate idea for improving IS governance in
the different organizations through the improvement of shared understanding.
