Organizational Structure
VMware Company offers digital solutions which power services, apps, and experiences
that enable the organizations in empowering employees along with deliver the best services to
the customers. VMware Company stre amlines every journey of each organization in becoming a
digital business which provide s experience to the customers along with empower ing the
employees in doing the best work. Currently, the organization is staying relevant with the
implementation of SaaS as the organization could not survive without the use of SaaS (Kamla,
Yahiya and Mustafa 2018) . However, some issues are also triggered with the implementation of
SaaS that includes loss of legacy and customers. The government teams of VMware Company
need to ensure that laws are followed before the busies commence. VMware Company is
partnering with the equal system such that the customers have a choice to select a cloud provider
with this organization.
As an organization which has grown quite fast, VMware Company is lacking internal
processes. There isn’t also any effort for matching the employees to the jobs they are most suited
for (Zakurdaev, Ismail and Lung 2022) . This organization needs immediate help with the
organization structure as well as change management. VMware Company encourages every
legacy company along with focus ing upon changing the mindset as well as shifting to this as the
subscription based on the lease. This implementation of SaaS happened just before this Covid -19
pandemic. Security , as well as priority, working from home, has put some increased burden on
the manager of all other projects for this organization (Mitropoulos and Douligeris 2021) .

Ho wever, customers are more concerned about security. Hence, intrinsic security is used by
VMware Company to provide security’s different layers.
Organizational approach
VMware Company is undergoing a transition of the business to SaaS along with a
subscri ption from the perpetual license software. VMware Company was selling the
subscription -based products; however, they had to come with a way for maintaining the clients.
Additionally, a proliferation of some new technologies, globalization, a need for busin ess
continuity, and high expectations from the users are major factors that drive the digital
transformation over the major functions. For effecting this transformation, VMware Company
has steered the digital transformation strategically for driving growth as well as operational scale
and delivering some significant experiences to the partners and customers (Daeyu, LEE and
Sangwon 2021) . The organization made decisions for building a scalable as well as modern
infrastructure embedded with security. The organization is rewriting all rules by pursuing the
human -centric method for all initiatives. A modern approach is established to the development of
digital capability within the organization. The offerings of SaaS are made available much more
frequent ly when compared to license software. Hence, the organizations needed in preparing for
a much more frequent cadence of release cycles of software, while managing the requirements of
regulatory compliance, legal, and security simultaneously.
The management of VMware Company led to promote the mindset of customer -first. The
requirements of the customers are monitored constantly through feedback surveys. The
transformation of the processes need s a huge shift within VMware Company. The pr actices are
modernized as well as rationalized by breaking down the existing silos. Transformation of data

goes beyond gathering along with storing data. This is about to empower the employees in
operating with a data -driven mindset for producing actionable insights which could inform the
process of decision -making (Goldberg, Bowlick and Stine 2021) . With such data, a baseline is
created within VMware Company , where there is progress towards certain business outcomes.
For accelerating this journey of digital transformation, the IT of VMware Company needs in
delivering new capabilities in a quick time frame along with improving user experience as well
as performance. VMware Company is also resharing the outdated policies which hinder growth
as well as speed. The organization adher ed to compressed timelines of decision -making for
several policies that impact this SaaS implementation.
Leadership
Technology is exponentially changing, and CIOs of VMware Company should become
the trusted partners to this business, provide strategy as well as insight and values. The SaaS
model creates opportunities along with challenges to deliver efficient solutions by adopting new
technology as well as prod uct iterations made in response to technology advances, market shifts
and customer feedback (Zakurdaev, Ismail and Lung 2022) . VMware Company needed leaders
who could solve the issues of customers along with enabl ing the business of this organization. It
is imperative that leadership within VMware Company supports the positive changes through the
digital transformation and the culture of this business. Implementing SaaS within VMware
Company needs changes in all parts of this organization.
As this organiza tion transitions to SaaS model from the on -premise software, the cloud
along with productivity engineering teams are working for enabling a seamless transition.
Thinking ahead as well as being visionary are effective qualities of the leadership team for

VM ware Company. Recognizing along with adapting to certain locations is crucial as not all
countries run at the same pace. The leaders o f the countries have several ways to look at this
SaaS transition. Collaboration with several leaders is also crucial , whi ch begins with the
shareholders and leader s in a region (Ramachandrappa and Renukaradhya 2021 ). The leaders
within VMware Company define the success of SaaS implementation regarding the results as
well as the experience of the customers. The leaders could provide an example of when customer
feedback along with data ha s led to enhancement or innovation of products.
